As a Gatehouse Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in distribution centre environment from their gatehouse. You will be responisble for monitoring and recording inbound and outbound vehicles to the facility and ensuring communication is made to the client regarding incoming deliveries.

Responsibilities for Gatehouse Security Guard

Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity

Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports

Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats

Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors or inbound shipments

Qualifications for Gatehouse Security Guard

Be authorized to work in Canada

Hold a valid Ontario security license

First aid certification required

Strong report writing skills

Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus

Strong proficiency with technology

Ability to operate computer technology including Microsoft Office software

Ability to use communications equipment such as landline phone, cell phone and radio equipment
