Schedule: Part-time
BWC’s core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC’s seven offices across the state. BWC offers flextime work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Assist in Data Science Projects: Support data science team with designing and executing experiments and preparing datasets for analysis.
Conduct Predictive Analysis: Use statistical models and data science techniques to identify trends and establish predictions based on historical data.
Apply Machine Learning Algorithms: Implement and test supervised and unsupervised learning models to solve real-world business problems.
Perform Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Identify and resolve data quality issues, handle missing values, and prepare datasets for modeling and analysis.
Analyze Large Datasets: Clean, transform, and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data using tools like Python and SQL.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with IT and business teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
Communicate Insights: Create visualizations and reports to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Projected Schedule:
A maximum of 29 hours per week. The schedule is flexible and will fall between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday.
Qualifications:
Must currently be enrolled in an accredited higher education program majoring in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Software), Economics or Business Analytics
