Then join our office in Søborg, where you will be welcomed into the Business- and Project Controlling team, who ensure a strong financial management of our entire project business covering +500 projects as well as controlling our back-office functions.
Responsibilities / Tasks
The role of Senior Project Controller comes with considerable exposure to our project business as well as top management, both locally and globally. Your main focus will be on large project controlling for our new Dairy project in Algeria. Specifically, you will be:
Maintaining a consolidated view on the project status in close cooperation with the project management ensuring cost, progress and risk are properly captured.
Controlling project progress reported by other GEA entities and sub-suppliers to validate project status and cost estimates.
Assisting the project managers in their forecasting and review / challenge underlying assumptions and timelines as well as proactively identifying risks and driving mitigating measures.
Presenting key financials to a diverse set of stakeholders, including SteerCo, Project Directors and Local/Division management.
Optimize cashflow by following up on invoicing schedule and collection together with the business
Assisting in preparation of income statements for tax authorities, both in Denmark and Algeria and support project auditing.
To a lesser degree you will also:
Assist in business partnering and portfolio management of the project portfolio, along with your colleagues.
Engage in financial analysis of overhead cost drivers to help ensure continuous improvement of our overall financial performance.
Help develop and enhance team strategic financial management capabilities – through digitalization and business partnering.
Your Profile / Qualifications
We imagine that you hold a degree in finance, preferably a Master’s degree, and have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in controlling large projects, preferably within WIP customer engineering projects. Besides that you:
Have a keen attention to detail and are comfortable working with large sets of data within a complex project set-up with several intercompany sub-projects.
Are a skilled communicator with a flair for building effective relationships with your stakeholders and have experience in preparing and delivering to-the-point financial overviews to stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
Are motivated by providing quality results and can work independently and drive topics to their conclusion on your own.
Are team-oriented and have a desire to develop your own skills as well as the overall capabilities of the team.
If you possess working knowledge of financing- and tax subjects (e.g., letter of credit, withholding tax etc.) is an advantage, but not a prerequisite. Proficiency in English is a requirement.
