Works under the direction of the Perioperative Business Manager to support the day-to-day business and facility operations of the James Perioperative Department which encompasses the Pre-Operative, Anesthesia, Operating Room, Post-Operative, Extended Recovery areas both at The James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute and The James Outpatient Care.
Position Summary
The Office Services Coordinator performs essential non-clinical administrative functions which impact the operations of the Perioperative Department. This critical role provides the essential support to our daily operations; Works under minimal supervision; Determines and ensures that appropriate actions are taken to meet departmental goals and operational needs; Position emphasizes researching, interpreting, analyzing and translation of information in different formats to accommodate a variety of customer needs; Works closely with Periop staff, surgeons, Revenue Management, Supply Chain, other Medical Center departments, vendors and others.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills. Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects. Analytical skills and computer skills, including knowledge and use of spreadsheet and word processing software, electronic mail and the Internet. Ability to learn new systems software. Independent and self-motivated.
Additional Qualifications: Operating Room or Perioperative experience preferred.
