Position summary:
Associate must execute purchasing activities for new model programs and mass production such as part cost change analysis, cost reduction promotion, VA/VE promotion, evaluation and approval, but not limited to these examples. Also includes parts maker-layout promotion and analysis using QCDDM. Support and execute strategies that will help the company achieve the most competitive parts pricing. Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:
4-year degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience or experience in technical product or a related field
Must be willing and be able to travel both domestic and to overseas locations as required Primary Position Responsibilities:
Execute projects and themes as assigned to help achieve section and department business plan targets
Initiate and promote innovative ideas to reduce cost and improve efficiency for assigned suppliers
Have thorough understanding of assigned suppliers QCD characteristics
May require coordination and communication with planning, quality and production personnel at TS Tech Group companies
Provide information to pertinent questions in a timely manner
Support supplier QCD improvement activities
Interact with planning groups within TSAM
Contribute cost perspectives to new designs and ideas or changes to current ideas
Interact with planning groups within TSAM appropriately
Work with other divisions and/or group companies to understand process flow & propose changes to ensure cost effectiveness
Promote CCR Purchasing strategies to suppliers
Utilize cost table to negotiate supplier cost based on assigned commodity
Promote innovative ideas to reduce cost and improve efficiency
Continuous learning in regard to the materials and services required for assigned commodities
Analyze and understand the impact of past programs and practices on upcoming programs
Actively coordinate/participate correlation activities and generate CR ideas. Provide support in CR activity according to schedule .
Become familiar with the group company processes and activities
Conduct competitive product analysis and comparisons, and propose strategies to reduce cost
Represent the company in a professional manner to other group companies and to the community
Gain consensus with stakeholders as required

It is an essential function of this position that the Associate be on the work site in person to perform their job duties throughout each scheduled work week.
