Sr. Systems Administrator

We are working with an Ohio client to identify a Sr. Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and systems in a virtual and physical environment.

Monitor and manage system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance while minimizing downtime.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory.

Provide support for issues related to Windows systems, applications, and network connectivity.

Configure and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Implement and enforce security best practices, including regular system audits and vulnerability assessments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects and initiatives.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience managing Windows server environments.

Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy.

Experience with virtualization technologies such as Intune, VMware or Hyper-V.

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.

Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience troubleshooting network issues.

Familiarity with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.

Knowledge of IT security practices, including antivirus, firewalls, and patch management.
