University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 180 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.
Responsibilities
The purpose of the Data Entry Coordinator (Pre-Authorization Department) is to ensure all Burks pre authorization requests are up to date and accurately claims are accurately prepared for electronic submission.
Monday - Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Contributes to team effort. This includes performing other related tasks as needed
Enters authorization requests received from referring providers for Burks clients
Scans all received documents into MI and shares drive
Inputs information from referring physician's offices to Burks online portal to process authorization requests
Communicates with referring physicians offices for information needed to complete authorization requests, provides feedback on status on an authorization if required
Inputs patient data and authorization information into MI
Follows up on all Burks email communications regarding status of authorizations
Coordinates with Central Scheduling and URG offices in order to confirm the ability to schedule patient exams
Ensure charge entry is current and up to date
Maintains job performance standards consistent with established metrics
Confirms insurance eligibility of patient and follows up as necessary Qualifications
Must be detail oriented
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high volume, fast paced work environment
Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain a professional and positive work environment
Must be a self-starter with strong multitasking ability

Consistently can be counted on to do whatever the "team" needs
Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships throughout URG
2+ years experience in data entry
Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9/10 codes and medical terminology
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational and time management skills
