General Thoracic Surgeon Full-Time No Transplant Columbus, OH

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday with weekend call rotation

Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity is available for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Thoracic Surgeon to help build and lead a growing general thoracic surgery program in Columbus, OH. This role offers a mix of surgical and outpatient responsibilities and the potential for a Medical Director position for candidates with strong leadership vision.

Position Highlights:

Focus on general thoracic surgery (benign and malignant; no transplant cases)

Balanced schedule of OR time and clinic visits

Supported by robotic technology, a large pulmonary/critical care team, and a Multidisciplinary Tumor Board

Strong referral base and consultative hospital service

Opportunity to shape and grow a new thoracic surgery program Candidate Requirements:

Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years) in Thoracic Surgery - required

Fellowship-trained in Thoracic Surgery - required

Active Ohio medical license or ability to obtain - required

ACLS and DEA certifications - or ability to obtain

Clean license and malpractice history - required

Must live within a commutable distance ( 1 hour) and not work concurrent jobs

Locum or 1099 candidates will not be considered Compensation & Benefits:
