Job Summary:

As an Entry-Level Heavy Equipment Operator, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery essential for constructing and maintaining landfills, opening and closing cells, and site maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate heavy equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Perform routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance, keeping accurate records.

Move and position materials using material handling equipment.

Follow standard procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.

Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: At least one year of relevant experience preferred.

Certifications: None required.

Skills: None specifically required.

Work Environment:

This position involves:

Frequent use of motor coordination and finger dexterity.

Occasional physical effort handling objects weighing less than 30 pounds.

Infrequent exposure to occupational risks (e.g., cuts, burns, toxic chemicals).

Regular exposure to various physical environments (dirt, odors, noise, weather conditions).

Typical work settings include shop or field environments.

The expected base pay range for this position is $24.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate and may vary based on experience, education, qualifications, and work location.
