Bookkeeper Accountancy Practice Shoreham-By-Sea

We are looking for a Bookkeeper with strong practice experience to join our growing team in Shoreham-By-Sea.

What you’ll do

You will maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple clients and the practice

You will process invoices, receipts, payments, and journals

You will reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash

You will prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements

You will manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing

You will assist in producing management accounts and financial reports

You will liaise directly with clients regarding queries, deadlines, and documentation

You will work closely with accountants and finance colleagues to support client needs

What we’re looking for

3+ years’ bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accountancy practice

Proficiency with cloud accounting software – Xero (highly desirable), QuickBooks, or Sage

Strong Excel and IT skills

Knowledge of UK VAT and payroll processes

Excellent communication and organisational skills

A proactive, detail-focused approach, able to work independently and as part of a team
