Job Details

Take charge of planning and executing electrical infrastructure initiatives related to roadway lighting and traffic control systems. This role demands strategic oversight, team coordination, and stakeholder engagement to ensure projects are delivered with precision, safety, and fiscal responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight: Administer project budgets and oversee procurement of electrical components such as conduit, wiring, and lighting systems. Monitor expenditures and analyze profit margins. Contribute to scope development during early project planning and cost estimation.

Stakeholder Coordination: Represent the company in communications with clients, transportation authorities, and utility providers. Handle negotiations for scope changes and billing documentation.

Field Operations: Direct the deployment of highway lighting, traffic signal systems, and intelligent transportation infrastructure. Supervise subcontractors and internal field teams. Ensure inspections, system activation, and final commissioning are completed on schedule.

Quality Control: Guarantee that all electrical installations comply with design specifications, regulatory codes, and internal quality benchmarks. Facilitate inspections with municipal and utility entities.

Safety: Partner with the Safety Director to uphold safety protocols and regulatory standards (NEC, OSHA, DOT). Lead monthly safety audits with emphasis on electrical risk mitigation and lockout/tagout compliance.

Scheduling: Build and manage detailed timelines for electrical workstreams. Synchronize efforts with civil and structural teams to maintain overall project alignment.

Team Leadership: Guide and support foremen, superintendents, and project engineers. Champion operational excellence and adherence to company procedures. Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Engineer.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.

At least 5 years of experience overseeing electrical scopes in infrastructure projects.

Demonstrated expertise in roadway lighting, traffic signalization, and bridge electrical systems.

Deep understanding of NEC, NESC, and ODOT regulations.

Skilled in Microsoft 365, Teams, Viewpoint Vista, HCSS, Primavera P6, and CAD software.

Strong leadership and multitasking capabilities.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.
