Qualifications
Required:
High School diploma, GED, or 1-year relevant work experience
Successful completion of provided Hartford Hospital Arrhythmia recognition and interpretation training prior to completing orientation (ability to test out if prior experience)
Must be able to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information in English
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
Basic knowledge of ECG interpretation, medical/cardiac terminology preferred
Ability to maintain focus for long periods
Ability to work in an environment with high activity and multiple priorities
Proficiency with navigating all aspects of electronic monitor system
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills with attention to detail, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Intermediate level computer efficiency
Demonstrated attention to detail in all aspects of work
Strong ability to use skillful communication with members of the healthcare delivery team. Uses communication skills to foster a healthy work environment and facilitate positive patient outcomes and experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, organization and communication [verbal, written & listening] skills.
Demonstrates safety practices in alignment with High Reliability
Embodies the HHC leadership behaviors and company values, and effectively utilizes the HHC operating model
Assumes responsibility for self-improvement in collaboration with the leadership team by identifying communicating and seeking resources or instruction/validation to meet own learning needs, and is self-directed in maintaining currency of validations

High School diploma or equivalent required
