Your future team:
You will become part of the ROCKWOOL New Businesses team. ROCKWOOL New Businesses is our completely new innovation and growth engine, developing and scaling solutions that extend the benefits of stone wool into new markets beyond our core business. Guided by our mission of “Releasing the natural power of stone to enrich modern living”, we combine the strength of ROCKWOOL’s global brand and footprint with an entrepreneurial mindset to bring innovative and sustainable products and systems to market.
What you will be doing:
You will work closely with our Group Development department as well as the rest of the Group to identify, explore, and mature completely new applications and business models. The candidate will report to the Director of ROCKWOOL New Businesses.
Key responsibilities:
• Conduct market research to uncover emerging trends, technologies, and unmet customer needs
• Evaluate the feasibility and potential of new business ideas through qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Engage with startups, research institutions, and innovation hubs to scout for novel applications
• Design and test new business models aligned with strategic goals
• Develop value propositions and go-to-market strategies for new offerings
• Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, marketing, finance, legal, sales) to align on innovation initiatives
• Build and maintain strong external partnerships with research institutions, strategic partners, and potential customers
• Develop business cases and secure internal buy-in for scaling successful initiatives
• Support transition from pilot to full-scale implementation, including sales enablement and operational integration
• Act as an ambassador for ROCKWOOL New Businesses, both internally and in the broader innovation ecosystem
What you bring:
• Holds a master’s degree from a leading university or business school
• Has strong technical and commercial skills and experience, ideally from product driven industries
• Can bridge the gap between technical and commercial worlds, translating ideas into viable business opportunities
• Has a proven track record in building and managing external partnerships
• Brings creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset to innovation and business growth
• Possesses international experience and can operate easily across cultures and markets
• Is a strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results
• Has excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels
• Is confident in working in ambiguous and emerging markets, shaping direction from the ground up
• Thrives in a collaborative, cross functional environment with both technical and commercial colleagues
