Position Title: Delta Modtek Finishing Press Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Finishing Press Operator to join our production team, specializing in operating the Delta Modtek Finishing Press. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing high-quality finished products. You will be responsible for set-up, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of finishing equipment to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate the Delta Modtek Finishing Press to meet production specifications and quality standards.

Interpret job tickets, work orders, and technical specifications to ensure proper finishing processes.

Perform routine machine maintenance and basic repairs to ensure optimal performance.

Monitor print quality, registration, die-cut accuracy, and overall product appearance during production.

Adjust machine settings for different substrates, finishes, laminates, and die requirements.

Collaborate with prepress, press, and quality control teams to resolve production issues.

Maintain accurate production records and complete all required documentation.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices.

Assist in training new operators and sharing best practices with team members.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical training in printing or finishing preferred.

2+ years of experience operating finishing equipment, preferably Delta Modtek or similar machinery.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret job tickets, technical drawings, and quality standards.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing top-quality work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime when required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Manual dexterity for precise adjustments and handling materials.

Good vision and color perception to ensure print and finish quality.
