SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the property's general condition in terms of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting. Additional functions include completing maintenance request work orders on a timely basis and participating in the preventive maintenance program for all building equipment and rooms.
This position is eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain general maintenance of the exterior and interior of the property building
Complete work orders promptly, including on-call requests
Demonstrate the ability to resolve maintenance issues to prevent a recurrence
Maintain inventory to ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available on-site
Inspect and test machinery and maintenance equipment
Maintain a clean and safe environment; report unsafe conditions to the supervisor and recommend corrective action
Partner with external vendors, contractors, and other maintenance team members on special projects
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities
High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification
HVAC certification preferred
Residential/apartment maintenance experience required
General residential maintenance skills required are A/C, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, electronics, drywall installation, and finishing required
Must be able to work on-call maintenance shifts
Physical Requirements:
Requires manual dexterity with normal hand/finger movement and coordination
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, position, or move objects weighing up to 125 pounds, including heavy loads of debris and 2-yard dumpsters
Ability to walk for long periods, including climbing flights of stairs in various weather conditions
