Store Picker - 2nd Shift

Job Description

A food production company in San Clemente is looking for a Store Picker to join their team. This individual is responsible for receiving produce and raw foods, assembling, shipping, labeling, and/or packaging foods to customers using manual assembly and equipment. Must be able to work in all temperature-controlled, cold environments (38 degrees). This is a temp to hire position with a pay of $18.50/hr. The shift is Tues-Fri 5PM- 1AM and Saturdays 10AM-3PM plus overtime.

Responsibilities:

Selects and packages products for shipment based on customer orders.

Wrap pallets and operate pallet jack.

Uses technology, including handheld devices, to sort, scan and prepare orders

May be training to do a bigger job, work in a variety of areas, conveyor/ assembly lines, receiving, shipping, inventory, and other processes independently.

Package kits and rotate and check food ingredients for freshness.

Prepares and understands a variety of routine paperwork associated with food preparation, packaging, labeling, and controls.

Requirements:

At least 6 months experience working in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.

General high school degree/GED or equivalent preferred

Knowledge of basic math and reading comprehension skills

Must be able to use a scan gun and able to count and understand quantities.

Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.
