Job Description

The manufacturing facility has over 80 CNC Machines. It was among the first in the region to have a Mori-Seiki NT Mill/Turn machine. This 11 axis machine has two spindles, a lower turret, a full machining head (with Capto Tooling) and a 100 tool magazine. Two additional Mori Seiki NTs were added in December 2013 at an installed cost of about $1M each. For high precision machining, Nexen uses a Yasda Jig Borer with accuracy to within 40 millionths of an inch, and can inspect to within 5 millionths of an inch.

Nexen was a leader in the area to implement just in time, work cells, focused factories, CIM, ISO, etc. Most of the shop floor employees are technical college graduates, and demonstrate a high level of skill and professionalism. The plant has an excellent relationship with the community and the schools.

The plant is responsible for over 6,000 different products, 25,000 different component parts and maintains over 95% on time delivery. Every employee is an important member of the team that ensures that customers get great products when they need them.
