Senior Proposal Writer - Long Beach, CA

PMCS Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Proposal Writer to lead and manage our proposal development process. This role will oversee and collaborate with our current Proposal Writer to ensure consistent, high-quality submissions that align with PMCS Group's strategic goals. You will play a critical role in developing winning proposals for professional construction and project management services, while also mentoring and training junior team members to grow into senior-level contributors.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Business Development Director to prepare for upcoming RFPs by supporting opportunity tracking, building proposal teams, and preparing content in advance of solicitations

Lead the preparation of responsive, compelling proposal content for CM, PM, and related consulting services

Interpret RFPs and RFQs, develop compliance matrices, and assign responsibilities to team members

Train and mentor the existing Proposal Writer, helping develop their skills and elevate their role

Develop templates, style guides, and tools to streamline and improve proposal workflows

Coordinate and manage proposal timelines and ensure all deadlines are met

Collaborate with technical staff, executives, and subconsultants to gather content and develop winning messaging

Lead the creation of visuals and presentations for interviews and shortlist meetings

Support overall marketing and business development initiatives as needed Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field

5+ years of proposal writing experience, preferably in AEC, CM, or PM consulting services

Proven experience managing proposals and leading a team or mentoring others

Expert-level proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace

Familiarity with CRM systems and proposal tracking software is a plus

Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills

Marketing & Data Coordinator

Location: Long Beach, CA (Primarily In-Office; 1 Remote Day per Week)

Reports To: Business Development Director

About the Role:

PMCS Group is seeking a proactive and tech-savvy Marketing & Data Coordinator to support our marketing and proposal operations. This role will focus on marketing initiatives and ensure data integrity within our CRM and proposal resource libraries. You'll help streamline internal processes, assist in the development of marketing materials, and ensure we have accurate, up-to-date project and personnel information for ongoing pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

Support marketing tasks including social media scheduling, company newsletter creation, and event logistics

Assist in collecting, editing, and formatting staff resumes for proposals and qualifications packages

Manage and update CRM data (projects, pursuits, clients, and contacts), ensuring accuracy and consistency

Maintain proposal collateral including staff bios, project sheets, and firm profiles

Coordinate with technical staff to gather and organize up-to-date project descriptions and metrics

Track and file subconsultant and teaming partner information, certificates, and SOQs

Assist in proposal production as needed—assembling packages, formatting documents, compiling content

Support business development tracking and reporting Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required (Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred)

1–3 years of marketing and/or data management experience preferred

Familiarity with CRM tools and database entry (experience with JobDiva or similar tools a plus)

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Strong attention to detail and consistency in managing large volumes of information

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace

Hybrid remote
