Project Engineer (Civil)

As a Project Engineer (Civil), you will play a key role in coordinating project activities from fabrication through to site installation.

Job Responsibilities

· Assist in coordination of site activities within scope of works documentation and guidelines

· Liaise with Site Supervisors and Project Managers to ensure requirements of the project are met

· Plan, monitor, and update project schedules, erection plans, and work programs for timely delivery.

· Manage project documentation, including RFIs, transmittals, ITPs, and as-built records.

· Coordinate with builders, consultants, draftsmen, and subcontractors to resolve design and site issues.

· Lead project meetings, providing updates, technical clarifications, and risk assessments.

· Prepare and issue fabrication work packages, ensuring efficient site installation and delivery.

· Oversee material procurement, deliveries, equipment, and cranage requirements.

· Estimate variations, manage progress claims, and support financial reporting.

· Monitor fabrication and site works, conduct quality checks, and ensure compliance with standards.

· Support site teams with technical guidance on constructability, sequencing, and safety.

· Contribute to risk assessments, method statements, and lift studies for safe execution.

· Track and report progress, address delays, and implement corrective actions.

· Liaise with suppliers and vendors to resolve supply chain and delivery challenges.

· Drive process improvements in fabrication, logistics, and erection activities.

· Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to align expectations and ensure successful outcomes.

· Review structural and shop drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.

· Tertiary qualification in Engineering combined with demonstrated 2-3 years' experience within Civil infrastructure project environment.

· Relevant knowledge of design standards and legislation.

· Ability to demonstrate originality in devising practical and economic solutions to problems.

· Salary between $70,000-$80,000 p/a depending on skills, qualifications and experience.
