Flanagan, Barone & OBrien, LLC (FBO) is a successful, growing firm which embraces diversity in seeking to build a strong team of professionals. FBO is currently seeking a senior trusts and estates paralegal with 7+ years of experience. The position provides the opportunity to work both independently and as part of our strong litigation team.
Responsibilities:
Administration of trusts and estates including probate of wills, inventory of assets and valuations, preparation of estate and inheritance tax returns, refunding bonds
Preparation of estate planning documents including wills and trusts
Managing of all aspects of real estate closings, including ability to review and draft real estate transaction documents and prepare matter for closingQualifications:
Must have a Bachelors degree; paralegal certificate preferred
7+ years experience as a trusts and estates paralegal involving estate planning as well as administration of trusts and estates
Experience handling varied aspects of trusts and estates
Experience handling real estate closings
Experience with preparing records, assembling exhibits, pleadings, discovery and trial preparation
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Clear and effective communication skills both oral and written
Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word; EXCEL; GEMS estate tax software desirable
Must be able to work independently and be proactive
Must be able to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands daily
Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Ability to maintain/enter billable timeCandidate must demonstrate a commitment to providing quality client service and adhere to work completion deadlines.
