Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional CT Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing CT scans and ensuring a high level of patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate service excellence, professionalism, and a commitment to patient privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Obtain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for specific procedures according to established protocols.

- Maintain sterility of the field and instruments, ensuring a safe environment for patients.

- Correctly prepare requisitions and communicate effectively with patients and their families to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity.

- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and verify patient identification according to established policies.

- Monitor patients before and after contrast injections, reporting any sudden changes to nursing staff and radiologists.

- Ensure the availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history for all procedures.

- Participate in emergency response when complications arise, and maintain adequate linen and contrast supplies in scanning rooms.

- Assist in the daily inventory and stocking of supplies, notifying supervisors of expired items.

- Clean and maintain the CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use for optimal operation.

- Triage procedures according to the daily schedule to ensure timely coordination of emergency and unscheduled requests.

- Communicate patient status across departments and assist in immediate post-procedure patient transport.

- Assess patient ability to tolerate contrast and screen for allergies and medication incompatibilities.

- Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements and recognize unusual conditions in equipment operation, adhering to venipuncture and power injector protocols.

- Notify radiologists of any unusual findings to provide optimal patient care.

Schedule:

- PM shifts including call and holiday rotation. Specific scheduling may include:

- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: 7 PM - 8 AM

- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 9 PM - 7 AM

- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 9 PM - 7 AM

- Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 7 PM - 8 AM

Required Skills & Experience:

- Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from an accredited School of Radiography or College based program.

- ARRT RT (R) and ARRT RT (CT) certifications.

- New Jersey State X-Ray License.

- BLS Certification.

Education:

- High School Diploma or GED.
