We are looking for a dedicated Purchasing Agent to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing procurement activities to ensure the efficient acquisition of materials and services. Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute purchasing activities to meet organizational needs and timelines.

• Manage purchase orders from initiation to completion, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Source and procure materials, supplies, and services essential for operations.

• Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing and maintain positive relationships.

• Review and code invoices to ensure proper documentation and payment processing.

• Monitor inventory levels and forecast procurement requirements.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations throughout the procurement process.

• Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to purchasing activities.

• Provide detailed reports on procurement performance and cost analysis.

• Support the purchasing department with administrative and operational tasks.• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles.

• Strong knowledge of purchasing functions, processes, and best practices.

• Familiarity with managing purchase orders and coding invoices.

• Ability to source materials and negotiate effectively with vendors.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in procurement.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in all purchasing activities.
