Plant Electrical Engineer Manufacturing Electrical Engineer - Industrial Systems $75K-$95K DOE 1st Shift
Location: Freeport, IL (Directly off the 20 Highway)
Shift: 1st Shift (Daytime Hours)
Salary: $75,000-$95,000/year, depending on experience
We're looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of electrical systems across our facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges while driving safety, efficiency, and innovation.
What You'll Do
Design, implement, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
Lead engineering analysis and manage technical programs to support plant operations.
Troubleshoot equipment and system failures with hands-on expertise.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA70E, and internal standards.
Conduct audits and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
Maintain configuration management and documentation for all systems.
Research and recommend new technologies and equipment.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of relevant experience in industrial electrical systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Allen-Bradley PLC & Drive Controls.
Strong knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and HMI interfaces.
Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, and NFPA70E codes.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Experience with industrial computer systems is a plus.
