About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our growing remote team. This role is perfect for someone with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in data engineering who is passionate about building and maintaining robust data infrastructure. You’ll work closely with data analysts, software engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth data flow and availability for business insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
Clean, transform, and organize raw data from various sources
Work with APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud platforms to ingest and manage data
Build and maintain data models, schemas, and documentation
Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot issues to ensure data accuracy and performance
Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to optimize data delivery and support business intelligence efforts
Required Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in a Data Engineering or similar role
Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala)
Experience with ETL tools or building ETL pipelines manually
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar workflow tools
Knowledge of data lakes, streaming data pipelines, or big data technologies (e.g., Spark)
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
