Job Description

Private vocational consulting firm, looking for a person to perform vocational, academic and interest testing. This position will be working with persons with disabilities, physical, psychological and/or cognitive impairments who are being evaluated for their ability to return to the workforce, following an injury. The testing consists of administration of vocabulary, comprehension, math, abstract reasoning and vocational aptitude measurements. This position demands are variable and will typically work out to approximately 30-35 hours per month and will involve the administration of tests, scoring of the tests, and recording behavioral observations of the client during the testing process.

Looking for someone with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, ideally in counseling, psychology or related field. This is an opportunity to advance in clinical knowledge and experience, working with a wide variety of clients in a small setting. Internship candidates are encouraged to apply.

Ideal position for someone who is either a student or someone who has another concurrent job. There will be several testing sessions per month requiring in person attendance at our Los Gatos office and other may be done remotely.

Responsibilities

Administer a variety of standardized tests, including measures of vocabulary, comprehension, math, abstract reasoning, and vocational aptitude.

Score tests accurately and record detailed behavioral observations of clients during the testing process.

Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor while working with a diverse clientele.

Handle and protect confidential client information with the utmost care.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in test administration and scoring.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage a variable schedule.
