VIGA Atomizer Operator

Job Description

We’re hiring a VIGA Atomizer Operator for a full-time, day shift position in Hayward, CA. This is a temporary role starting July 28, 2025. The ideal candidate will operate VIGA atomizing units and induction furnaces to process molten metals into fine powders while ensuring product quality, equipment safety, and adherence to operational protocols.

Responsibilities:

Operate VIGA atomizing equipment and monitor furnace conditions (temperature, pressure, gas flow)

Perform refractory maintenance on furnaces to ensure continuous, safe operation

Melt metal alloys using precise recipes and process controls

Screen and classify powders by size and quality using sieving and air classification equipment

Maintain accurate production records and follow safety protocols at all times

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; strong mechanical aptitude

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

Basic computer/data entry skills for process monitoring

Knowledge of safety practices in high-temperature or hazardous environments

Excellent attention to detail and willingness to work in team-based environment

Must pass a drug screen and background check
