Job Description:
Primary Function: Oversees the day-to-day operations of two-three residential facilities and creates a comprehensive residential experience in their buildings; recruits, selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates residence hall staff (undergraduate and/or graduate) and oversees their daily responsibilities and development; coordinates the residence hall conduct process for their buildings; chairs and serves on various departmental and university committees; engages in personal interactions with students and is visible within their communities; provides leadership, mentorship, and support to students; serves in a rotating on-call capacity for the residence hall system; communicates pertinent information to other departments on campus; and manages administrative items within the hall including the residence hall budget.
Qualifications: Master’s degree required. Summer 2025 graduates will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to start date. At least one academic year of university residence hall leadership experience at a post-undergraduate or graduate student level; and strong written and oral communication, administrative and organizational skills required. Master’s degree in student affairs, counseling or related field preferred. Student experience will be considered. Frequent evening and weekend work will be necessary.
