A healthcare facility is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to provide patient care coordination and administrative support, ensuring high-quality patient care across departments. This role involves building relationships with patients and families, supporting ongoing care, and assisting with compliance and quality improvement efforts.
Responsibilities Include:
Follow up promptly on newly referred patients, establish contact, and schedule appointments
Maintain patient and family engagement through proactive communication methods
Instruct, educate, and connect patients to healthcare services
Track and monitor patient progress, ensuring accurate and timely data entry
Follow up on diagnostic tests, referrals, and hospitalizations
Input and retrieve data in electronic health records and other databases
Provide QA support across departments as needed
Collaborate with the QA Director and comply with all regulatory and compliance standards
Other tasks as assigned by the QA Director
Ideal Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong customer service orientation and patient-centered approach
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic health record systems
Prior healthcare or administrative experience preferred
