Job Description
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Coordinator Apprentice to join our team for a 6-month apprenticeship focused on supporting our documentation and compliance efforts in Harris County. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in nonprofit compliance, student support services, and funder relations.
Documentation & Compliance Oversight
Assist with the collection and submission of student documentation for Harris County grant.
Ensure timely follow-up with students regarding missing or incomplete documents
Maintain accurate records in compliance with grant and program requirements. Student Engagement & Support
Communicate with students and staff to gather placement updates and verify employment status.
Coordinate with team to establish a timeline for continued monthly update submissions.
Provide reminders and guidance to students on compliance-related deadlinesReporting & Funder Relations
Collaborate with the compliance team to prepare reports for funders
Attend meetings with funders alongside compliance leadership
Assist in compiling data and narratives for grant reporting and auditsQualifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Interest in nonprofit operations, education, or workforce development
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
Prior experience in administrative, customer service, or student support roles is a plus
