Direct Hire Position
Salary: $140,000–$150,000/annually

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead operations at our client's production facility in Central Maine. This is a high-impact role focused on process improvement, team leadership, and operational excellence. You’ll oversee daily production, lead continuous improvement efforts, and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive safety, efficiency, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Lead and coordinate all production activities at a production facility
Track, report, and improve key performance metrics across departments
Apply LEAN manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Evaluate and refine manufacturing schedules, methods, and standards
Manage preventive maintenance programs with the Maintenance Manager
Oversee and plan equipment upgrades, replacements, and capital improvements
Support recruitment, training, and performance management of facility staff
Provide coaching and development to direct reports and the Facility Manager
Conduct annual performance reviews and recommend promotions or corrective actions
Ensure compliance with all environmental, safety, and regulatory standards
Lead cross-functional project management efforts for new systems or processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Proven experience with LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement
Strong project management and data analysis skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and drive cultural change
Familiarity with systems such as ERP software, AutoCAD, or similar tools
Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance
