PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: •Assists in the daily planning of shop projects and related instruction.
•Monitors the activities of students.
•Shares industry experience with students and staff.
•Monitors students in completing shop tasks while helping them to develop an attitude of personal and professional excellence.
•Assists in the maintenance of individual student records.
•Helps maintain discipline under classroom guidelines.
•Assists the vocational technical instructors in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
•Assists the vocational technical instructors in breaking down CTE competencies, tasks, and projects for diverse learners.
•Will work with the vocational technical instructors in the specified vocational area and follow the lesson plan provided to them.
•Will follow all safety regulations per shop concerning Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). •May be asked to transport students to and from job sites using school-provided transportation.
•Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent-Director.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The individual may spend several hours per day sitting at a desk.
Other activities include standing, talking, and listening in shop environments.
The individual may be exposed to blue light from office equipment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten-month, school-year position (183 days). Fringe benefits as outlined in the Non-Union Contract.
