Position Description

The University of Mississippi Department of Athletics is conducting a search for an Assistant Coordinator of Strength & Conditioning for Soccer, 1-2 Track and Field event groups, and Tennis. The incumbent will implement and conduct strength and conditioning for assigned sports which facilitate maximum benefits for assigned student-athletes. This position is also responsible for administering the program including scheduling assigned teams, facility management, equipment maintenance, testing record keeping, and supervision of the student internship program within the strength and conditioning program. This position will also be assigned administrative duties within the Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning department.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, Master's Degree preferred
Experience: Three to five years of strength and conditioning experience working with collegiate and / or comparable level
Licensure: NSCA and / or CSCC and / or ACSM certifications, First Aid / CPR required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to facilitate information to student athletes, coaches, etc.
An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.
