Linux System Administrator
GovCIO is currently hiring for an experienced Linux System Administrator with an active Secret clearance to join an Operations team. This position will be located in Arlington, VA, and will be a fully remote position within the United States.
Responsibilities
Work with other members to mitigate vulnerabilities on Linux-based systems
Implement STIGs
Address POAMs
Mitigate Zero-Day vulnerabilities
Perform other standard Linux administration duties
Qualifications
Senior-level RedHat Linux server administration experience
Experience maintaining and administering a RedHat Satellite server
Good understanding of system administration tasks, package management, modules building process, and deployment
Implementing logging solutions
Vulnerability remediation
Creating software/scripts to automate production systems with fluency in at least one of the following: Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python
Advanced Linux System Administration, Configuration, and System Security
Advanced systems troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Bachelor's with 8+ years of Linux System Security, applying updates and remediating vulnerabilities (or commensurate experience)
Active Secret Clearance Required with ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

USD $115,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
