AFS is seeking a Network Engineer to be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of our organization's WAN and LAN hardware. This includes managing firewalls, cryptographic devices, routers, and switches to ensure secure and efficient network operations. The role requires a deep understanding of networking technologies, including BGP, to optimize network performance and reliability.
The Work:
Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks.
Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and cryptographic devices
Manage and maintain WAN and LAN connectivity, network segments, and Internet access
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed
Ensure network security and connectivity through proper configuration of VPNs, firewalls, and related security protocols
Configure routing protocols, including BGP, to optimize network traffic flow and redundancy
Collaborate with other teams to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes
Work with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Provide technical support and guidance to users with varying levels of IT knowledge
Up to 75% travel may be required
Here's what you need:
3+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in one or more of the following:
Network infrastructure and network hardware
Network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
Network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS, Arista EOS)
Implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices
Application transport and network infrastructure protocols
IPSEC tunnel creation and management
Possess a DoD 8570/8140 Certification, or be able to obtain within first 6 months of employment
Ability to travel up to 25%
Bonus points if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Professional certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP)
Experience in cloud networking; Azure preferred
Experience applying STIG and/or best practice security concepts to network devices
Experience with using Ansible or other automated tools to deploy and manage network devices
Security Clearance: Must have an active TS/SCI with poly security clearance
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Accenture Federal Services offers a wide variety of benefits.
The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia is: $97,300$195,400 USD
