Hours/week: 36 hours/week Job Overview:

Seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses for a 22-week travel assignment in Savannah, GA. This is a night shift position in a high-acuity, fast-paced Level 3 Trauma Center. The ideal candidate is reliable, clinically skilled, and able to start on or before Sep 08, 2025. Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility will not be considered. Job Details:

Unit Type: Emergency Room (ER/ED)

Care Setting: Acute

Shift Length: 12 hours (nights)

Charting System: MEDITECH 6.1 Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform rapid assessments and initiate appropriate interventions for a wide range of emergent medical conditions

Triage incoming patients based on acuity and critical needs

Administer medications and emergency treatments as prescribed

Monitor and document vital signs, ECGs, and clinical changes

Initiate and manage IVs, infusions, and drips according to protocol

Assist with codes, trauma activations, and high-risk procedures

Provide education and emotional support to patients and families

Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, RTs, paramedics, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care

Accurately document in the electronic health record (MEDITECH 6.1)

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with infection control and safety standards

Participate in department orientation, team meetings, and unit-based quality initiatives Required Skills & Competencies:

Ability to manage a 1:4 patient ratio in a high-volume emergency setting

Proficient in triage protocols, trauma care, and rapid clinical decision-making

Strong knowledge of emergency medications, cardiac monitoring, and critical care drips

Skilled in interpreting telemetry (Spacelabs monitors) and saving strips to the chart

Comfortable with pediatric and adult emergencies

Familiarity with stroke and STEMI protocols; experience caring for cardiac and neuro patients

Scheduling & Additional Information:

Self-Scheduling: Available; balanced to meet department needs

Block Scheduling: Based on departmental needs or contract specifics

Holiday Requirement: Based on department needs

Call Requirement: None

Local Rule: Must reside 101+ miles from the facility to qualify

Preferred Contract Length: Through January 10, 2026 (flexible) Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience in a facility of similar size and acuity

Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment

License: Active RN license (compact or GA); required at submission

Certifications (Required):

AHA - BLS,ACLS,PALS
