Field Electrical Test Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Install, adjust, and troubleshoot relays, harnessing your technical expertise.

Assist in the sales process with labor estimates and site assessments.

Stay updated on safety and technical training; participate in company-sponsored safety programs.

Collect field data and conduct arc flash studies, coordination studies, and short circuit analyses.

Provide valuable technical insights related to substation and electrical power systems.

Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain our commitment to a 'Safety First' culture.

Install, commission, test, and maintain protective relaying equipment.

Calibrate and perform functional tests on microprocessor-based protective relays in high-voltage substations.

Conduct comprehensive end-to-end relay testing using Doble ProTest software or Protection Suite.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 18 years or older.

Professional knowledge in protective relay logic, protection schemes, and documentation of test plans for substations.

Experience with Doble ProTest or Protection Suite is essential.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service and safety.

NETA certification is strongly preferred.

Education & Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with protective relays in high-voltage substations.

Experience in installing and maintaining equipment such as circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgear.

A two-year degree or technical school graduation or equivalent work experience is required.
