Wound Center Medical Assistant

We are looking for passionate individuals to fulfill the role of a Medical Assistant at our Wound Center.

This position offers a daytime schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM, with no weekends or holidays. Located at 80 Seymour St HH Conklin (10066), you will experience a fulfilling role in a respected teaching hospital known for advanced care and innovation.

As a Medical Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Providing clinical and clerical support to enhance patient care.

Participating in ongoing training to refine your skills and knowledge.

Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Active Connecticut CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic Certification, or relevant experience.

At least one year of direct patient care experience in an acute or ambulatory setting.

Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association, obtained within 3 months of hire.

Skills and Abilities:

Exceptional customer service abilities and HIPAA compliance.

Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

Basic computer proficiency and the ability to read medical terminology.

A collaborative spirit to work effectively within a dynamic team.

Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules.

Experience with EPIC EMR and prior externships in busy medical environments will be advantageous.
