We are currently looking for a highly motivated Solutions Engineer (Access) in Italy. In this position, you will be responsible for the technical pre-sales support to Adtran’s Sales Team.
The Solutions Engineer will drive the technical responses on network design solutions and quotations for customer specific projects or RfX (Request for Information, Proposal or Quotation).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide pre-sales support for Tier-1 / Tier-2 carrier customer activities in Italy
Managing all technical pre-sales support of the entire Adtran solution portfolio on Access Technologies (GPON, XGS-PON, Active Ethernet) and In-Home Technologies (such as Residential Gateways, WiFi Mesh) for selected key-customers
Ownership of the technical strategy based on customer’s needs and commercial requirements
Responsible for questions related to Statements of Compliances (SOC), network designs and bills of materials
Support the Key Account Management for evaluation and responsible for the preparation of the technical responses to customer requirements
Customer presentations in cooperation with Account Management
Support to Demos, PoC and Validation activities
Collect comprehensive feedback to headquarter departments concerning market requirements and market trends
Provide Partner enabling on Adtran solutions
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Extensive experience in communication business
In-depth knowledge of communication networks and customer applications, in particular on Access Technologies (GPON, XGS-PON, Active Ethernet) and In-Home Technologies. Experience in developing within RESTCONF and NETCONF / YANG environments would be appreciated.
Technical degree (or similar) in telecommunications, electronics or physics
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Creative, innovative, open minded and independent working style
Fluent in both oral and written Italian and English.
Ability to work in a cross-site, cross-cultural and multi-lingual team.
Daily working experience of Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
