Duties and Responsibilities
Drafting of legal documents, correspondence, memos, etc.
Drafting various pleadings and incorporation of documents
Trial preparation to include organizing discovery documents, preparing exhibits, bates labeling, organization of client files, etc.
Filing and recording documents with the appropriate offices/courts
Maintaining client documents and emails in client workspaces
Preparation of case notebooks and deposition summaries
Ability to utilize computer programs designed for case management
Manages litigation support and information management systems; compliant with e-discovery rules and regulations
Manages document production process – hard copy, electronic, etc.
Assists with the collection of materials, hard copy, electronic data and physical evidence
Designs and implements document review systems, tracks materials through the process
Manages logistics of production of documents – hard copy & images
Makes relevant documents and information quickly and easily available
Designs and manages databases (e.g. Relativity and Trial Director 360)
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Must be skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must have excellent writing and communication skills and interact with clients, court officials, and vendors in a professional manner. Must have high level experience with a range of litigation support applications. Must be able to perform efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Three to five years’ Labor & Employment paralegal experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certification from an accredited source required. Additional qualifications include excellent analytical and organizational abilities, creativity and initiative.
