Blending Operator (Morning Shift)

Job Description

A blending mixer operator is responsible for combining and mixing ingredients according to specific formulas and recipes, often in a manufacturing or production environment. They operate and monitor blending equipment, ensuring the proper mixing of materials and adherence to quality standards. Key responsibilities include measuring and loading ingredients, observing mixing processes, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining accurate production records.

Key Responsibilities:

Operation of Blending Equipment:

Operating and monitoring mixing and blending machines, ensuring they function correctly and efficiently.

Material Handling:

Measuring, weighing, and loading ingredients into the mixing equipment according to specified formulas or recipes.

Process Monitoring:

Observing the mixing process, monitoring gauges and indicators, and making adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency.

Quality Control:

Conducting quality checks on blended products to ensure they meet specified standards and reporting any issues or deviations.

Maintenance and Cleaning:

Performing routine maintenance on blending equipment, cleaning machines and work areas, and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate production records, documenting batch information, and reporting any discrepancies or issues.

Safety Compliance:

Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Collaboration:

Working with other team members to coordinate workflow, meet production targets, and ensure smooth operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment, particularly with mixing or blending equipment, is often required.

Technical Skills:

Basic mechanical aptitude, understanding of machine operation, and the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
