Production Manager Electromechanical

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of production, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and parts ordering. The ideal candidate will ensure that production schedules are met, materials are available when needed, and incoming and outgoing shipments are handled efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight

Manage daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timeliness.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet production targets and resolve bottlenecks.

Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or processes as needed.

Shipping & Receiving

Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments.

Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and tracking of materials.

Work with carriers and logistics partners to schedule shipments and resolve delays or issues.

Parts Ordering & Inventory Control

Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production needs without overstocking.

Order parts, components, and raw materials based on production schedules and forecasts.

Work with suppliers to track orders, negotiate pricing, and resolve discrepancies or delays.

Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile variances.

Team Leadership

Supervise production small production staff; provide training and support as needed.

Enforce safety protocols and company policies.

Lead by example to promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a production or operations management role.

Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and inventory systems.

Experience with ERP or MRP systems preferred.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

Experience in industrial equipment with knowledge in electronics (i.e., soldering).

Forklift certification or familiarity with warehouse equipment.

Experience with certification agencies such as Underwriters Laboratory and DNV.

Associates degree or higher or equivalent job experience.Company Description
