Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities:

Analyze requirements and design end-to-end technical solutions.

Lead development team in implementing scalable, high-quality software.

Ensure adherence to coding standards and design principles.

Write optimized, maintainable code in Java and related technologies.

Conduct peer and architect-level code reviews.

Create unit tests and ensure code coverage meets agreed standards.

Provide timely updates to project stakeholders and management.

Support QA, UAT, and production deployments.

Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Establish and enforce development policies and best practices.

Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

Core Skills:

Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, J2EE, REST APIs, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, React, and Ruby on Rails.

Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, OOP, and memory management.

Expertise in distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and multithreading.

Preferred Experience:

Background in eCommerce or payment domains.

Exposure to high-end technology product development environments.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for the position is between $60,000$93,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
