TOP Real Estate Equity firm / family office: looking for a Controller - multifamily rentals and hotels.
Family Office experience a PLUS..
Someone coming from a mid-sized real estate equity firm (2-5 billion).
Experience doing Consolidations, Waterfalls, Heavy K1 experience
- Oversee and manage the financial operations of the company
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and review journal entries
- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
- Coordinate and oversee the annual audit process
- Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience - working for small to midsize real estate equity firm.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in accounting software systems (YARDI)
- Experience with regulatory reporting requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
