About the Role:
We are seeking a Ship Procurement and Chartering Manager to lead the strategic procurement of vessels and chartering operations, with a focus on optimising shipping costs and enhancing logistics performance. This position requires strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and deep knowledge of maritime logistics and market dynamics. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating and finalising charter party agreements, building and maintaining relationships with brokers, shipowners, and shipyards, and ensuring the timely execution of strategic shipping initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, global shipping environment. The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis and will be based in our Singapore office, providing the successful candidate with a dynamic platform to contribute to long-term fleet and logistics goals while collaborating across business units to align procurement strategies with broader organisational priorities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Negotiate and finalise charter party agreements
Build and maintain relationships with brokers, shipowners, and shipyards
Ensure timely delivery of strategic shipping strategy
Develop and execute long-term procurement strategies aligned with fleet and logistics goals
Conduct market intelligence, cost analysis, and competitors' benchmarking
Build and maintain strategic relationships with shipyards, brokers, and marine service provider
Collaborate with different functions & business units to align procurement with business priorities
Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience working in shipping/chartering
Strong numerical/analytical background is a plus
Ability to work independently for extended periods leveraging industry experience and leadership capabilities
Driven individual that can identify value and develop commercial constructs to enable value capture
Global network of industry contacts and someone that is not afraid to develop new relationships proactively
Global and international mindset and ability to work effectively with different cultures
