We are currently searching for an experienced Survey Analyst to support our Southeast Region located in Miami or Fort Lauderdale, FL.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a four-year degree and/or equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience.

What you’ll be doing:

Will work with field personnel to receive feedback from site Superintendents, Survey Party Chiefs and the project team to determine if existing methods need to be updated or refined, based on project conditions.

Will work with Preconstruction & Operations during the project planning stage. Lesson’s learned from prior projects shall be considered in the new deliverables produced by this individual.

Support the site team with the necessary files that are being provided by the Project Design Lead or Project Engineer on each project to ensure adequate planning for site team needs

Perform analyses such as tracker slope validation and surface to surface comparisons to ensure pile heights and finished grade are per the EOR design

Produce heat maps from surface comparisons for us by civil subcontractors or the mechanical crews to adjust earthwork/tracker piles accordingly

Convert .CSV files provided by the EOR into VCL files to provide to the site teams

May at times visit proposed project sites to support Site Investigation teams or active project sites to stay current on means & methods

Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction

What you need to have:

A four-year degree and/or equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience

Minimum 3 years in construction with specializations in CAD and/or equivalent project experience. Candidate needs to have the ability to understand, interpret, and convert the civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction prints into a 3D environment

Thorough knowledge of CAD programs (Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, Civil3D, etc.)

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines.

Valid driver’s license.

A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
