Join Our Team as a Sustainability Project Manager!

Core Responsibilities

Drive Waste Reduction & Circularity Initiatives: Lead waste reduction and optimization projects at LEGO® production in Billund, aligning them with the LEGO Group’s circularity agenda for global implementation.

End-to-End Project Ownership: Manage projects from initiation to closure using the LEGO® Project Model (LPM) framework, developing use cases that meet Steering Committee requirements.

Project Planning & Execution: Drive project scope, schedule, cost, and quality, using LPM best practices to manage risks and ensure effective communication. Lead all aspects of documentation and closure activities.

Collaborate with internal departments, customers, and stakeholders on sustainability projects, ensuring alignment with Operations and Engineering.

Performance Management: Define project requirements, secure partner approval to ensure successful delivery and seamless transitions.

Multi-functional Liaison: Serve as the key link between Sustainable Operations, local facilities, and global projects, providing technical mentorship and support for initiatives.

Leadership in Local Sustainability Projects: Lead local initiatives that align with strategic priorities, developing standardized processes for project execution and reporting.

Sustainable Operations is the global department within the LEGO Group dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of our factories. We design and implement sustainable solutions all with a circular approach. Our team manages the global portfolio for CO2, energy, water, and waste reductions, tracking progress toward a zero-impact goal. We collaborate closely with production sites and partners to identify and implement impactful reduction projects.

Join us in making a significant difference in reducing the negative impact on the environment. Your contributions will help us lower energy and water consumption, eliminate CO2 emissions, and minimize waste generation across LEGO Group operations.

Do you have what it takes?

Experience in production and environmental project management in multinational companies.

Strong knowledge of end-to-end project management, including feasibility studies, budgeting, and risk assessments.

Technical Proficiency in developing technical proposals and decision-making support.

Background in energy-saving, carbon reduction, water treatment, and waste reduction projects would be an advantage

Proficient in PDCA, Lean Manufacturing, and LEED principles; familiarity with sustainability practices is a plus.

Advanced in MS Office, SAP, AutoCAD; strong in structured reporting and presentations.

Excellent communication and partner management skills with a focus on teamwork.

Danish language skills are advantageous.
