Job Title: Tool and Die Maker

Job Description

Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on stamping dies, including progressive and line dies. Tasks include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing small and large dies, some weighing up to 30 tons. The role requires operation of various machinery such as mills, grinders, lathes, and drill presses.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on stamping dies.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with dies.

Repair dies utilizing various machinery including mills, grinders, lathes, and drill presses.

Operate and maintain small and large dies, weighing up to 30 tons.

Demonstrate a sense of urgency when addressing tooling issues.

Work overtime and different shifts as required by manpower needs.Essential Skills

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Die Repair.

Experience in troubleshooting dies and presses.

Proficiency in Stamping Press operations.

TIG Welding skills.

Experience operating cranes, hilo's, and die carts.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in New Die Construction.

Knowledge of Cold Stamping processes.

Understanding of Hydraulics and Nitro Cylinder Rebuild.

Possession of a Tool & Die Journeyman's Card or equivalent experience.

Experience with progressive dies is required.

Familiarity with tandem, transfer, and ejection mold operations.

Ability to use and explain precision and hand tools related to tool and die.

Knowledge of manual machines such as mills, lathes, saws, and grinders.

Understanding of welding applications and GD&T as it relates to gages.

Ability to read and interpret CMM reports and scan data for die and part quality.

Knowledge of die functions for both cold and hot stamping.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Benefits start Day 1 (BlueCross BlueShield)

2 Weeks Vacation (non-negotiable)

32 hours PTO = 16 in January, 16 in July

$1,000 Signing Bonus within first 90 days (paid out at 30 day, 60 day, 90 day)

Tools provided, 15 sets of uniforms, boot allowance, 401k match, life insurance

This is a fully onsite position in Holt,MI.
