Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
Location: LaGrange, IL
Your Role:
As a Medical Assistant, you will provide care to patients under general supervision while adhering to AdventHealth service standards. Your responsibilities will include:
Warmly greeting patients and collecting necessary clinical, financial, and demographic information.
Assisting providers during examinations and procedures.
Performing office duties such as verifying insurance, collecting copays, and scheduling appointments.
The Value You'll Bring to the Team:
Accurately assist with screenings per physician orders and document all information during the service.
Conduct clinical intake as outlined by AHMG policies.
Support minor procedures in alignment with your specialty.
Maintain your education and competency requirements for the position.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and office standards.
Follow safety protocols to provide exemplary patient care.
Facilitate comprehensive patient care throughout all aspects of their visits according to AHMG policies.
Qualifications for Success:
Minimum Requirements:
1 year of practical medical assisting experience or graduation from a recognized medical assisting program.
Current, valid BLS certification.
Maintain certification through an accredited organization such as AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NHA, or ARMA.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
