Job Description

Position Purpose

Maintain and repairs tools, dies, jigs and fixtures. Provide tools in correct configurations for production, maintains tooling records and inventory, performs preventative maintenance on tools and updates log.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

Clean and inspect injection molds using proper procedure.

Performs tooling configuration changes – reads prints, changes tool accurately without damage, maintains records.

Replaces ejector pins and angle pins.

Implement changeover to injection molds per repair order request.

Replace heater bands and thermocouples, maintain inventory of parts.

Replace mold date inserts.

Responsible of ordering parts as needed.

Clean and lubricate tools.

Adjust and replace limit switches, repair and place latch locks, repair hydraulic cylinders.

Disassembly and reassemble tools for repair or modification.

Palletize and ship tools.

Maintain tool database, audit tool locations. Respond to internal and external requests for inventory information.

Responsible for following all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices.

Job Qualifications/Requirements.

Must have training and/or experience in light machining including milling, drilling, tapping and grinding.

High School Diploma/(GED).

Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)

Basic Computer skills

Ability to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English.

Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment

Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations)

Environmental Condition

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
