Ohio Department of Public Safety - Office of Criminal Justice Services/Anti-Human Trafficking

This position is open to current Ohio Department of Public Safety employees only. All others will not be considered.
Under direct supervision of the Anti-Human Trafficking Director, provide program direction & relieve superior of most difficult administrative duties in order to administer the Anti-Human Trafficking Research & Data Collection Program:
Inform & lead anti-trafficking research & data collection initiatives on behalf of the Governor's Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force; Provide direction on statewide anti-trafficking data collection project development & implementation;
Collaborate with anti-trafficking stakeholders, including grantees, to establish measurement criteria & procedures essential for effectively tracking the status & impact of funded projects;
Apply statistical analysis & data visualization techniques to identify trends & relationships between anti-human trafficking grantee performance metrics & relevant variables of interest; Develop impact reports of grantee performance measurement data;
Serve as DPS project lead for statewide human trafficking data collection & integration initiatives;
Collaborate with the Ohio Department of Administrative Services' InnovateOhio Platform & subject matter experts, IT staff, & agency leadership from member agencies of the Governor's Human Trafficking Task Force to ensure validity & completeness of State sources of human trafficking data while increasing accessibility & overall use of data;
Identify relevant human trafficking performance metrics; Extract human trafficking data from multiple sources & systems;
Formulates & implements program policies & procedures; Interpret federal, state, & local laws to ensure compliance; Communicates policy updates to all stakeholders; Apply analytical results to aid data-driven policy making in a format accessible to non-technical staff & stakeholders;
Participate in state & national-level groups/committees with a central focus on data & research related to human trafficking & response to victimization on behalf of the Governor's Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force;
Review anti-trafficking models of practice that are implemented nationally & at the state-level across the country to make recommendations on best practice in data collection, screening, & effective program outcomes;
Provide training & technical assistance to grantees, anti-trafficking coalitions, domestic violence shelters, sexual assault programs, & child advocacy centers on human trafficking screening & data collection;
Collaborate with members of the Governor's Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force to implement priorities of the Ohio Department of Public Safety & other Task Force agencies;
Serve as a subject matter expert in review of federal & state anti-trafficking grant project proposals, utilizing knowledge on anti-trafficking evidence-based & evidence-informed practices;
Serve as agency administrator for project implementation (i.e., reviews proposals, deliverables, awarded activities) & liaison to contracted & grant-awarded stakeholders, including the Department of Administrative Services' InnovateOhio Platform, state coalitions, national partners, & anti-human trafficking grantees;
Make recommendations to ensure alignment with the goals & priorities of the Governor's Human Trafficking Task Force in meeting the needs of individuals who have experienced human trafficking & the public;
Performs other related duties as assigned.
5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in business administration, management or public administration.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management or public administration; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program for academic field of study commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on File; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 2, 63123.
